The “LOVE” Art Exhibit
February’s artist of the month, Theron Cook gave art enthusiasts a look into his world as he presented the “LOVE” Exhibit at the Rohrbach Library earlier this week. During the presentation Cook, who is a visual artist, explained the meaning behind a few of the pieces featured in the show. According to Cook, the “LOVE” Exhibit is an extension of Cook’s book, “7eventh Note The Perception of Life” and will be a part of a traveling show that will explore the four levels of love and the seven types of love.
As a special treat Cook invited a few of his friends to take part in the “LOVE” Exhibit. Poets Tracy Olivieri and Noah Ayala shared poems that were the motivation behind two of the paintings featured in the show, and author David Nazario read the introduction to his book, “I’m David, Christianity is Goliath: Why Love Is More Important Than Religion”. Cook designed the cover art for the book which will be released this summer.
