2nd Annual ACOR Gallery Graffiti Art Contest

The ACOR Gallery at the GoggleWorks in Reading, Pa hosted their annual Graffiti Art Contest. Six artists in and around the Reading, Pa area submitted their works that represented the “Stop The Violence” theme, competing for a $500.00 cash prize.

According to artist and founder of the ACOR Gallery, Mr. Ed Terrell, the purpose of the graffiti art contest is to “bring awareness to stopping the violence through visual art expression.” And although there were only a handful of artists who entered the competition, it was the quality of the pieces and the opportunity for young people to be involved with the arts that was most important to Terrell. “Getting young artists involved with their perspective is important,” said Terrell.

Tracy Soto took home the grand prize for his amazing piece pictured below.

The entries were judged based on artistic merit and the ability to stick to the “Stop The Violence” theme.
